The aviation maintenance technology program at Robert C Byrd National Aerospace Education Center provides training for aircraft maintenance. This program offers an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, aligning with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 147 requirements.
Upon program completion and passing FAA exams, graduates receive an FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certificate, qualifying them to work on various aircraft. Graduates can find employment opportunities in maintenance facilities, airlines, and other aviation-related sectors. Additionally, the credit hours earned can be applied toward a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Management.
